The price of a commercial LPG cylinder has been raised by rs 266; there has been no change in the price of a home LPG cylinder.
Beginning Monday, oil companies raised the price of commercial Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders by Rupees266. The raise, however, will not apply to household LPG cylinders, which is a significant relief for the common man.
With the most recent price increase, commercial use cylinders in Delhi have surpassed the 2000-mark and will now be sold for 2000.50. Previously, the 19kg cylinder was priced at Rs 1733.
A 19-kilogram cylinder will set you back Rs 1950. An Indane LPG cylinder will cost 2073.50 and 2133 rupees in Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai, respectively.
Domestic LPG cylinder consumers
The pricing of home LPG cylinders will stay unchanged.
A 14.2kg non-subsidized gas cylinder costs Rs.899.50 in Delhi. Prices for home LPG cylinders were recently raised on October 6, when they were boosted by 15%. Prior to this, on September 1, the pricing of both subsidized and non-subsidized LPG cylinders was raised by 25 percent.
In January of this year, the price of an LPG cylinder in Delhi was 694, which was raised to 719 in February. The price was raised to Rs 769 on February 15. Following this, the price of the LPG cylinder was cut to 794 on February 25. The price of the LPG cylinder was cut to 819.834.50 in March, then increased by 25 cents to 859.50 on August 18.
The exchange rate of the rupee versus the dollar and global crude oil prices are the two key factors that influence LPG cylinder costs in India.
The increase in the price of cylinders corresponds to the increase in the price of gasoline and diesel. On Monday, fuel prices in Delhi increased by 35 paise, with petrol now costing 109.69 rupees per liter and diesel costing 98.42 rupees.
